Caddo Clothing: Traditional Men's Shirts (continued)
Traditional Caddo men's shirts can be made out of almost any type of fabric, from small floral prints or bold geometric patterns to eye-catching solids, like this shirt shown at left. Also on display at the Caddo Heritage Museum gallery are shirts made out of satin and other synthetic blends of fabric. While cotton may be the most common type of material used, a cotton-poly blend has the advantage of being practically wrinkle-free.

This shirt shown at right is made of a demure pale blue and white print. Such light colors really make the red and blue ribbons stand out. As on other shirts, the ribbons adorn the front of the shirt, between the vertical pleats, and the cuffs. One very nice artistic addition to this shirt is the decorative stitching on the front. This stitching sets of the ribbon below the shoulders and the base of the pleats.
