RESOLUTION RESCINDING TRIBAL RESOLUTION #07-2003-01, DATED 15 JULY (NO
YEAR)
WHEREAS: The Caddo Nation of Oklahoma, a federally recognized tribe, is
governed by a Constitution recognized by the United States Government
and all of its governing bodies and agencies, and
WHEREAS: under the revised Caddo Nation Constitution adopted by the
Caddo Tribe on June 26, 1976, the Caddo Nation Council is empowered
with certain powers, duties, and responsibilities regarding all manner
of internal tribal affairs, in accordance with tribal governing
documents, and
WHEREAS: Tribal Resolution # 07-2003-01, dated 15 July (no year)
Attested to by a moderator, Treasurer, and three (3) Representatives,
was submitted to the CFR Court without approval of the Governing Body
of the Caddo Nation and without compliance to Bureau of Indian Affairs
procedures, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that Tribal Resolution #07-2003-01, dated
15 July (no year), is herewith rescinded by the duly elected Caddo
Nation Council. Notice is given on this date July 23, 2005, to all
appropriate persons and agencies that this recession action represents
the best interest of the Caddo Nation.
CERTIFICATION
The foregoing resolution was adopted with a quorum being present, by a
majority of the Caddo Nation Council at an emergency meeting called by
the Chairperson and convened on July 23, 2005, in the headquarters of
the Caddo Nation, Binger, Oklahoma.
The Resolution was adopted by a vote of:
4 FOR; 0 AGAINST; 0 ABSTENTIONS
