RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT FOR BUDGETARY PURPOSES, FROM THE BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS (BIA) UNDER AID TO TRIBAL GOVERNMENT CLASS 3220 THE PROGRAM FUNCTIONS TRIBAL ENACTMENTS (ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, BUDGETS)

WHEREAS, the Caddo Nation, a federally recognized tribe governed by a duly adopted constitution, has empowered its elected tribal council to approve contracts, proposals, agreements; to receive funding from federal, state, or local government, and to amend aforementioned documents as required, and

WHEREAS, the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) has made available additional tribal priority allocation (TPA) funding, that can be allocated at the discretion of tribal governments, and

WHEREAS, the Caddo Nation, as recipient of the additional funding, properties to contract, for budgetary purpose, under a P.L. 93-638 Contract Aid to Tribal Government, the program function titles: Tribal Enactments (Ordinances, Resolutions, Budgets), and

WHEREAS, this Ordinance arrangement will answer BIA's requirements for TPA funding allocations to be made to an in-place 93-638 tribal contract and will allow the Caddo nation to fund unmet tribal operations properties.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: the Caddo Nation, herewith, requests the superintendent, Anadarko Agency, to approve the necessary procedures that will allow the Caddo Nation to enter into a P.L. 93-638 contract, for budgetary purposes, under the TPA Program titled Aid-to-Tribal Government-class 39220, under program function- tribal Enactments (Ordinances, Resolutions, Budgets), the tribe will allocate the Caddo share of the current TPA supplement funding, in the amount of $85,856.00. This contractual arrangement will allow the tribe to institute a funding mechanism that will answer present and future tribal government needs.

CERTIFICATION

The foregoing resolution was approved by the Caddo Nation Tribal Council on 8-5-2005 at a duly called meeting at the tribal complex.

We, the undersigned Chairman and Secretary of the tribal council of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma, hereby certify that the Caddo Nation Council is composed of 8 members, and with a quorum being composed of 5 members, of whom 5 were present at a meeting thereof duly and specifically called, noticed, and convened and held  on the 9th day of Aug, 2005 at the Caddo Nation complex in Binger, Oklahoma, and that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by an affirmative vote of 5 FOR; with 0 OPPOSING; and 0 ABSTAINING. The Chairman is not required to vote except in the case of a tie.
