Caddo Nation of Oklahoma
Education Programs Office

The Caddo Nation of Oklahoma announces that it will be accepting applications from enrolled members wishing to participate in the Higher Education Scholarship Program, the Adult Education Program, and the Adult Vocational Training/Direct Employment Assistance Programs, which are P.L. 93-638 programs contracted from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Caddo members wishing to obtain applications for any of the programs may come by the Education Program Office on the Caddo Nation Headquarters administrative complex near the junction of highways U.S. #281 and Oklahoma #152, which is located approximately five miles east of Binger. Applications can also be requested by mail from the Caddo Nation Education Program Office, P.O. Box 487, Binger OK 73009 or by calling (405) 656-2344 Ext. 215 or Ext. 203.

The Higher Education Scholarship Program provides supplemental assistance to eligible members to help pay for costs that lead to a college degree from an accredited college or university. Students must apply to the Federal Financial Student Aid Program, the Pell Grant Agency, before they can be considered for a Higher Education grant. The Adult Vocational Training/Direct Employment Assistance Programs, which is now called the Job Placement and Training Program, provides supplemental subsistence allowance to eligible members while they train to qualify for meaningful employment. The Adult Education Program provides supplemental assistance to eligible members, 16-years of age and older, who desire to improve their literacy skills or to attain a GED and other personal academic skills necessary for job entry, or those who need short-term training, not to exceed one-year, to upgrade their employment skills to retain their employment or qualify for promotions.

For more information about these programs as administered by the Caddo Nation Education Programs office, please visit, call, or write to the above address.
