MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Caddo Nation Education Department is to afford the Caddo tribal members an opportunity to increase their knowledge, so they may continue to be independent.

JOB PLACEMENT & TRAINING

The Job Placement and Training Program, provides supplemental subsistence allowance to eligible members while they train to qualify for meanful employment.

Eligibility:
For Both Programs:

  • An enrolled member of the Caddo Nation
  • 18 years of age or 17 with a high school diploma up to age 55
  • Applicant must reside within jurisdiction of the Anadarko Agency (i.e. Oklahoma: Caddo, Kiowa, Comanche, Cotton, and Tillman counties)

JOB PLACEMENT:

  • Applicant must be unemployed or underemployed
  • Must be permanently hired and not yet paid the first full paycheck

JOB TRAINING:

  • Demonstrated need for vocational training or skills upgrading
  • Must apply and be eligible for the Pell Grant or other federal financial aid

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
      For Both Programs:

  • Proof of membership (birth certificate may be required)
  • Completed application
  • Proof of marriage or Head of Household and birth certificates or legal document showing dependent status if claining dependent(s)

Job Training:

  • Letter of Acceptance from school

      Job Placement:
  • Letter from supervisor/human resources department on company letterhead stating:
      1.Job Title  
        4. First Pay Day & First Pay Check
      2. Beginning Wage
        5. Statement that job is anticipated to be permanent
      3. Start Date
     

  • An applicant can receive only one repeat service

APPLICANT RESPONSIBILITY:

Job Placement

  • Go to Work

Job Training

  • Attend scheduled classes
  • Pay for prior indebtedness
  • Notify Program Office when course completed
  • Inform Program Office of any changes in enrollment or education plan
  • Notify Program Office in writing if required to withdraw prior to withdrawal or soon thereafter.
