How many Caddo people are there? As of Sept. 2008, there are 5,367 Caddo people, and this number is on the rise! Currently, the Enrollment Office still has 20 applications pending for additional documentation and applications waiting for the approval of the Tribal Council.
All living lineal descendants of allottee(s), of at least one-sixteenth (1/16) degree Caddo Indian Blood, born after the date of the adoption of the Constitution (June 26, 1976), except those persons otherwise entitled to enrollment with the Caddo Nation who elect to be enrolled in another tribe are eligible for enrollment.

INSTRUCTIONS IN APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP WITH THE CADDO NATION
(Read Instructions BEFORE Completing Application)
The Membership Application for enrollment with the Caddo Nation, the attached sheet, should be completed showing your relationship to an enrolled member and/or members on the maternal and/or paternal side. Include maiden and married names of the women listed on your form.
QUALIFICATIONS:
All living lineal descendants of Allottee(s), of at least one-sixteenth (1/16) degree Caddo Indian Blood, born after the date of the adoption of the constitution (June 26, 1976), except those persons otherwise entitled to enrollment with the Caddo Nation who elect to be enrolled in another tribe.
DOUCMENTS REQUIRED:
1. An ORGINAL STATE CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE of applicant..
2. A copy of the applicant's SOCIAL SECURITY CARD.
3. If you own trust property, submit your Individual Indian Monies (IIM) Account Number. (eg.806U123456)
4. If parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc., linking applicant to the nearest Allottee,
are not on the Caddo Roll, then ORIGINAL STATE CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATES
are required on each.
5. Copies of Court Proceedings Probating the Estate of your deceased ancestor(s) are
encouraged, if there have been such proceedings. Submit a copy with your application.
6. In cases of adoption, Caddo Blood quantum must be proved on the natural parent(s).
A notarized copy of Adoption Proceedings must be submitted with the application.
The notarized copy will remain on file. ORIGINAL STATE CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATES before and after the adoption are required.
7. If you go by a different name, other than what is on your Birth Certificate, then a notarized
copy of your legal name change is required. The notarized copy will remain on file.
8. For other Federaly Recognized Tribal Blood quantum, other than Caddo Blood, you will be
required to submit another form of documentation. (eg. CDIB and/or Award Letter)
Originals will be mailed back to you as soon as possible. Processing will not begin unless ALL Birth Certificates ARE ORGINAL STATE CERTIFIED. Please allow four 4 to sis 6 weeks for processing all documentation has been turned in. If the applicant is of other tribal descent, the application may take longer to process due to the length of time it takes to receive verification from the other tribe(s).
*PLEASE keep the Enrollment Department informed of yur address change(s) by writing us with your Name, DOB, Social Security Number, and Change of Address.
*If a name change is needed, please send in supporting documentation (marriage license,
court order, etc.) If a change needs to be made and the member is under 18 years of age, then a parent or guardian must make the change.

Please keep the Enrollment Department informed of your address change(s) by writing in with your name, DOB, Social Security Number, and Change of Address.

Burial Assistance: The Enrollment Office handles the disbursement of money to assist families in paying for the costs associated with the burials of tribal members. You can pick up a Burial Assistance application between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Monday through Friday or you cand download the applications (2 pgs.) HERE.
