The Transportation Program is a new Tribal Program, under the direction of the Caddo Nation and the Tribal Council. We the Staff have developed working relations with BIA Regional Transportation Office and State and Local Governmental Transportation Offices. As this new tribal program progress we will be compiling information and data for planning and evaluation of tribal transportation needs. We have continued to work on the current list of roads bridges and route concerns, prioritizing and evaluating new data. Our Staff will continue to maintain a close review and monitoring system for new legislative and governmental regulations that may affect the Caddo Nation's Transportation system. We are concerned that the Caddo Nation and its members receive a good and a safe transportation system and that our natural and cultural resources are safeguarded and preserved. This concern will remain among our priority areas for the tribes transportation program. We have developed Programmatic Agreements (PA's) with local and State Transportation Programs, and with all the four state homeland areas with FHWA and Memorandums of Understanding concerning transportation projects over the last decade. The Transportation Staff will hold Public and Tribal Transportation meeting with Tribal Council and Tribal membership as needed to up date and present future concerns and planning for the Caddo Nation Transportation Programs.
